Ali Davis, House 1990-91
Allison (Ali) Davis was a House Republican Page in 1990-1991. Her love of Washington was instilled early and she is now a Manager of Regional Planning at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA or Metro), the region’s public transit authority. Prior to Metro, she worked for Arup, a multinational engineering, design, and planning firm in New York and PADECO, a international development consultancy in Tokyo, Japan. Until recently, she served for five years on the boards of the New York and Washington DC chapters of WTS, an international organization dedicated to the advancement of women in transportation, where she also ran the mentoring program for both chapters. She received her Master degrees in Transportation and Urban Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University. She lives in the District and enjoys cities, swimming, running, and traveling.
