USCPAA Commemorated the 50th Anniversary of the Appointment of the First Female Pages

Washington, District of Columbia
October 22, 2021

We recently marked the 50th anniversary of the appointment of our first female Pages. Young women first served as Pages in the Senate in 1971, then in the Supreme Court in 1972, and subsequently in the House in 1973.

Alumni gathered on Capitol Hill in October 2021 to celebrate this important milestone. The program of speakers, panels, and presentations explored what impact those groundbreaking young women had on our nation. Moreover, we heard the firsthand accounts from the actual women who fought to serve as our first female Pages.
