When I was a freshman page in 1964 in the House of Representatives on my first day I was sent on a hazing errand.
The Page at the desk asked me to retrieve the “Congressional Record Player”.
I was sent to the bill room and from there sent to the basement and from there to the dome and from there…..well you get the idea.
The errand lasted many mile and more than a few hours. I will never forget it.
